ACCREDITATION STATEMENT AND CREDIT DESIGNATION

European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (UEMS/EACCME)

The AD/PD™ 2024 International Conference on Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s Diseases, Lisbon, Portugal has been accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME®) with 35.5 European CME credits (ECMEC®s). Each medical specialist should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity. The EACCME is an institution of the European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS): www.uems.eu

American Medical Association (AMA)

Through an agreement between the European Union of Medical Specialists and the American Medical Association, physicians may convert EACCME credits to an equivalent number of AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada

Live educational activities, occurring outside of Canada, recognized by the UEMS-EACCME for ECMEC credits are deemed to be Accredited Group Learning Activities (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification Program of The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. Educational Objectives

After attending this event, participants should be able to:

  • Address individual needs in compliance with their Continuous Professional Development (CPD) plan
  • Enhance dialogue with clinical investigators and basic scientists, as well as established investigators and young upcoming talents
  • Assess the impact of COVID-19 on neurodegenerative diseases
  • Evaluate the most recent research in treatment development and emerging therapeutic targets in Alzheimer’s disease
  • Describe current developments in the treatment of Parkinson’s disease and related neurological disorders
  • Evaluate the novel approaches to disease-modifying therapies for Parkinson’s disease
  • Discuss common features of neurodegenerative diseases
  • Evaluate the most recent advances in drug development and clinical trials in Neurogenerative diseases

Target Audience

The International Conference on Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s Diseases is the global meeting place for international medical and scientific professionals worldwide engaged in the neurodegeneration field, from basic scientists to clinical investigators, and from established leaders to young upcoming talents. Because of the diverse, clinically focused educational offering, participants can tailor the curriculum to meet the needs of international clinicians of all levels of experience.

To Receive Your CME/CPD Certificate

The CME/CPD certificate will be available after completing the online evaluation and credit claiming procedure. The process takes about 5 minutes. We thank you for your feedback as it is an important part of CME/CPD accreditation and helps improve future educational offerings. 

Before June 9, 2024:
1. Login to the AD/PD™ Education Portal OR register first if you don’t have an account.*
* register using the same email address as your AD/PD™ Conference registration.
* make sure to select “Neurology” as your main field of interest.

2. Once logged in, go to “Online Learning”, and click on the CME/CPD certificate banner on the landing page.
3. Complete the anonymous online evaluation.
4. Complete the credit claim form and submit it.
5. The CME/CPD certificate will be available for download; retain it for your personal records.

Kindly note that the AD/PD™ 2024 online evaluation will be active on the last day of the meeting. You will then be able to access it and claim your CME/CPD certificate.
